The weekly photo challenge asks for an unusual point of view. I took this photo from a hotel room looking out onto a parking garage roof. Two geese landed on the roof minutes after I pulled the curtains back, and this one settled down for a rest.

Thanks, Jo. I saw the image on my camera’s viewfinder, but not until I put the photo up on my computer did I really “see it”.

I love how I had to look at the reflection to figure out what I was seeing!

At first it just seems to be a bird’s rear end, huh? I love his/her feathers too.

At first I thought it was a walrus flipper or something. I’m so glad I figured it out before I read what you wrote. It was so much more fun that way!

That is an awesome shot, I love how the shadow fills in the rest of the duck that is off the page. Very cleverly executed.

That is nicely weird – very odd – obviously you were in the right place at the right time! That’s a chance in a million and a photographer’s dream.

Thanks, Jo. When I first pulled back the curtains in the room and saw the “scenic view” from our window, I was a little upset about a parking garage roof to look out at…but then the geese arrived.
