Bistango, a wonderful restaurant in Irvine, California that captures a different feel from so many of the local dining establishments. The restaurant is located in the Atrium Building, in an office park in Irvine, but you would hardly know that, or even notice; it feels like you are stepping in to a European type restaurant/bar. Very chic.
The restaurant has a dining room as well as 
a great bar area that has a few cozy booths and small tables. The bar area also hosts live music, I think every night. When we lived in Orange County before, it seemed like we only made it to Bistango on weekends, and there was always music, and dancing. Always good music.
I surprised my husband and had another couple that are good friends from old OC days meet us there at Bistango. The evening was incredibly fun, from the good food to the bad jokes, to the great music.
I was so in to the moment (read “had a lot of wine”) that I took few photos.
What I do know for sure is that I was mesmerized by the singer’s red shoes. Couldn’t take my eyes off of them. Never thought to take a photo of the trio. I caught the singer’s attention as she walked by our booth at one point during the evening and complimented her on her shoes…Steve Madden’s bought on eBay. I’m not sure I complimented her on her singing. Those shoes had me, and I managed a sneak photo of them from our booth.
