These look so inviting Angeline, the first one sets the tone so beautifully!

Thanks, Patti. We were out there on the perfect day to get some great photos as the surfers practiced for a competition. I loved the look of that first guy/first photo, he looks so at ease with that board under his arm.

Never tried it. I’m afraid it gets too exhausting for me to arm paddle around the water. Plus, I don’t really know how to swim. I just like to see surfers in action. Your gallery is awesome though.

My problem would be once falling off the board…I’d probably drown in about two seconds! I can swim a little, but not in waves and surf like that. Glad you like the gallery!

Great shots of one of my favorite subjects since moving to Los Angeles. Very California, of course… 😉

Thanks, Angela. Surfin’ USA is very California, and makes me love that I live here…even if up in chillier NorCal. The photos, though, are from Oahu’s North Shore 🙂

Cool. The professor should try and surf, but I bet it wouldn’t turn out well.

Wear your water wings and easy peasy! You’ll be zooming along on the waves. You might look a little silly, but never mind that. You would become known as that daring surfing proffesor.

Now that would be neat. Water wings seem fun, too. I’d like to be known as the daring professor.

Yes, the Daring Professor VJ Duke. It’s sort of like you’ve been knighted, or gained another degree. It will open up a whole new world for you, thanks to yours truly and surfing. Who knew!

Very true! You know, there is a wicked rumor going about that says the professor is romantic–this would kill it dead!

Loved your response, Angeline. It was, for me, so unexpected. Being a confirmed landlubber, I am amazed to watch surfers. Did you happen to see any footage of the surfers off Portugal during last week’s storm? Unbelievable!
LikeLike
Thanks, John. No, I missed any stories about the surfing off Portugal last week; I’ll have to go back in the news to see if I find it. Surfers go out in the craziest of storms to catch those monster waves.
