As I walk past patio windows all throughout the day, I have grown into the habit of glancing out to see which of my bird friends are enjoying the bird bath. I caught two this morning.

Sometimes there is a veritable pool party going on with four or five sparrows inside the bird bath.

Nice! Do you have a bird feeder too? It’ll be a nice combiation for the fountain.

Thanks! No bird feeder, I always hesitate feeding wildlife, and feel they pretty much have it figured out as to food sources in nature.

When the girls were younger (and at home), we had a bird feeder and I really enjoyed it. There was always something to watch. I really enjoyed the woodpeckers.

I’ve hesitated adding a feeder, there has been a neighborhood cat that likes to come in and stalk the birds every now and again, and I’d feel like I was luring the birds in for what could be trouble. Haven’t seen that cat around lately, and I can’t say I’m sad about that!

Thanks, E.C. They are great for watching while taking a few minutes to relax and meditate a bit out on the patio. And when they’ve decided to call in all their friends for a party, it just makes me laugh to watch them.

They are like a group of kids splashing in the pool, so much fun to watch. Then I have to go out and fill it up again because they’ve splashed most of the water out. 🙂

It is a reward to see these beauties of nature playing in my backyard. The robin doesn’t come to the birdbath often, so it was a complete surprise to see him there this morning. Have a great weekend, Christine.
