Travel Theme: Peaceful

peaceful

The boats are put to bed for the day as the sun sets on Oahu. We were fortunate enough to have this view every evening while we were there last fall; it provided for a peaceful start to the evening.  Each day’s setting sun was spectacular that week.

  4. Oooh wooh – that’s a pretty spectacular sunset!

BTW – I’ve just bought a (slightly used) iPhone 4S (my old 3’s still a great storage device, and does SMS and 3G still, but has decided it doesn’t want to make calls anymore, which rather defeats the purpose!). I’ll go and get a new mini-SIM and then I can start shooting, right? To get shots like the ones you had from yours, do I need other apps? What’s the score?

Yay! I’m so excited…you will have so much fun. For almost all photos I used the app Camera+, used that pretty much exclusively as the clarity was best than the regular installed camera, it also has editing built in for clarity (will clear up a shadow like magic), and also edit tools for different colors and feel, also B&W and Sepia. That is a good basic start. To further edit you can save the photo and use the app Snapseed to do other incredible editing. Hipster is another fun app for great photos. I’ll let you start with those. If I think of others I’ll be back to add. Oh, and Hueless is good for all B&W

      • Angeline, You’re a doll! I’ve copied all that onto a note so I can find it because of course I’ll forget the names. And you do all this editing on the phone itself, before you send it to the computer for storage?

Yes, do the edits on the phone and then send to my computer, ready to go. I will think on it some more today and put a note on your “about” page with any updates
