Project 365, Day 239; Flowers, Hills, Crosses, and Fences

More experimentation with the new Canon this evening out on the patio.

And a couple more photos from yesterday’s excursion out on the back roads

I haven’t gone inside a church in years. What got into me?

  4. How did I miss this? When did you get this new camera? What type of Canon is it? What made you choose that camera/model? Did you enjoy playing around with it – just a little? That lovely crosshatching grillwork with the cross reminds me there’s a competition running at http://seeingspotsphoto.wordpress.com/2012/07/13/community-collaborative-projectjuly/

I’ve kept it rather quiet. I was, in my mind, so proficient with the Olympus I had before, and then went to the iPhone exclusively when Olympus died. So I got this Canon a couple of months ago and have used it sparingly…wasn’t too sure about it. I made this weekend the “do it or else” and went out for a couple of hours and put my iPhone securely in my purse and told myself I would not use it for photos. The Canon is a PowerShot SX40 that has both auto and manual setting capabilities. My next step it to test it out on manual settings, but I have a lot to learn on that score. Thanks for the link, I’ll definitely look in to that!

Thanks. I’ve had the camera a couple of months or so and keep shying away from it, so this weekend I said I would go out and NOT use my iPhone at all no matter what. Is there such a thing as iPhone anxiety? I’m glad you like #3.The hills are my favorite subject.
