It had been a long while; that travel on the backroads not too far away. One thing then another. Winter rains, family visits, that nasty cough everybody seemed to have. But here we are again with joy in our hearts to be reminded of the beauty once again. And all within a days journey.

We were actually had a destination in mind; The Marshall Store in Marshall, California, for lunch. Known along Highway 1, for their fresh out of the water oysters. We’ve been there over the last few years and can’t get enough.

The location is right above the water.

And the view vies with the food.

After lunch we headed out in the general direction of home, and took a turn my partner hadn’t intended on taking. Not sure where we were, but we didn’t care. We were on a two lane country road of absolute beauty with open fields and views of Tomales Bay.

The fog was trying to pull back, but came and went on the breeze. For the first time in being out taking photos, I was moved to tears by the beauty. And we were the only ones out there.
A day trip to be remembered.

this episode was particularly poetic and beautiful. And, we need to go to Santa Cruz before summers end. That overhead tramway is calling.

So many places to go back to, and so many new places to explore! It’s great to have a like minded partner/explorer.
