Benicia, California. A little town in Northern California that used to be the state capitol before Sacramento took over. It’s small, it’s quaint, and it’s a photographer’s little dream of a place to spend a day finding wonderful photo ops at every turn. I’ll be back there soon with my digital camera, but on Saturday I relied on my iPhone 4s. I’ll have more to come from this day spent wandering up and down Main Street.
For more iPhone nature photos today, you can go over and visit Lens and Pens by Sally
I think it also qualifies for Jake’s challenge, Entrance, with just a slight shift of the view to get more of the feeling that this is an entrance into the water
But then again, an entrance can be an exit. It’s a conundrum.

Just amazing what that little camera can do! I wonder why little Benicia lost out to Sacramento? Looks as though it’s in an amazing position – look forward to your official photoshoot, Angeline.

The iPhone camera is absolutely incredible in my book! I’m not sure why Sacramento won out. More research to be done.

I like the first one too, beautiful colors, and textures. Love the houses on the hill as the background.

Thanks Amy. The red tiled roof kind of makes that first photo my first choice also.

My choice is the first one. I would have cropped the stop sign and it would be just right. It’s a gorgeous spot. Well done. Are you having trouble with WordPress? I cannot access it to work on it.

Thanks Sally. That sign does bother me, but believe it or not, I don’t have photo shop or any editing tool that takes stuff out from a scene like that. I am seeing that it’s time to look in to that. ..I haven’t been on WP since last night, and it was ok then.
