When two people are supposed to meet they do, no matter the timeframe or circumstances. My heart had begun to heal following the death of my husband when I met someone in a local photography group. Instant friends with many mutual interests in, of course photography, and also museums, art, nature, music, and roadtrips around the beautiful area we live in. There is no set timetable that tells a widow that she is now free to fall in love again; this is still all a mystery to me one year after having met my new someone on this day before Valentine’s Day. The workings of a heart, and love, have caused me to crash into the depths of despair and grief, but have now seen fit to bring me to this new place of contentment and happiness. A place I never thought I’d see again, an emotion I never thought I’d feel again. Life is short. Follow your heart.
“Of all forms of caution, caution in love is perhaps the most fatal to true happiness” ~Bertrand Russell
Reading this brings tears to my eyes! I’m SO happy for you, Angel. Enjoy every minute of your contentment and happiness. How about a roadtrip to Tahoe? We, and the lake, would love to see you both.
