Iceplant overlooking the Pacific Ocean here in Northern California is blooming with gusto as spring has taken over command of the landscapes.
Photo taken with an iPhone 6Plus in Camera+, edit done in Hipstamatic and PicMonkey to soften and brighten.

How lovely! I’ve never seen one of these before. I imagine the flowers will be especially thick and welcome this year with all the rain and snow. What a joy!

Thanks, Janet. Iceplant has to be one of California’s most abundant ground cover. Different color flowers too. It will be lush this year. We’ve got another storm coming in tomorrow night for a couple day stay.

I love the iceplant along the coast. It’s as hardy as it is colorful.

Angeline, I remember these gems from Mt. Tamalpais. And what an abundance of gorgeous wildflower to join them soon. Enjoy the visual symphony.

Thanks, Sally. When we moved to Southern California from a Texas way back in the 70s, the freeway lined with iceplant amazed me. I’ve loved it ever since.

Thanks, Su. After so many years of drought and puny flowers, I feel like I’m in paradise.
