A most intriguing piece of driftwood found on a beach on the Sonoma coast here in Northern California. I look at this often, and wonder who the writer is. I left it there for others to read, fighting the impulse to bring it home with me. This photo will suffice to remind me that we are the sea, and we are the sun. I truly hope it was taken out by the tide again, to deliver its message on another beach, and then another and another.
The challenge set forth by Sally D is for nature today, and please take time to read the narrative on her post today here; her thoughts on man and nature are insightful.
Photo taken with an iPhone 6Plus and edited in Snapseed and Mextures.
you mean you didn’t toss it back in so it could make it elsewhere? it would make a great lamp, eh?

Nope, didn’t toss it back. Figured nature would work its magic. Didn’t need my help.
Wow! That would be a great lamp.

I’m so glad I didn’t come across this piece, Angeline, as intriguing though it may be. For me, it’s truly a no win situation. Take it home and feel guilty every time I gazed upon it. Leave it on the beach and forever regret not taking it home. I think your photo is the perfect solution. You’re like Solomon. 🙂

Angeline, what a terrific sign…Indeed we are “the sea and the sun.” I applaud you for leaving it there to share the encounter with others. Happy Photo Challenge.
