Mobile Photography Monday ~ We Do Not Stand Alone

sanctuaryman2The power of WordPress friendships has helped me return to sanity…and the old editor. Thanks to all of you who commented and helped me on my post Drying Vines. It was somehow a combination of two different versions of how to do it that worked.

Things are a bit rougher around the edges for me, and I’ll briefly update you here to let those of you who have read a previous post about my husband’s illness know that things have progressed, chemo has ceased to work, and palliative care and a hospice team have been brought on board. I hold myself together with the support of family and friends; and going out into nature with my camera. My husband and I are getting out as much as is possible right now. Living in the moment never meant as much to me as now.

  1. Thank you for stopping by Gardening Nirvana. I’m sorry to read that your husband has reached the palliative care stage. My heart goes out to you.

I’m happy to hear that the two of you are still managing time in nature. Nothing is nearly as restorative as the fresh air on one’s face and the smell of nature’s sweet aroma. Arms around you. Alys

    Oh dear Angeline,
I am so sorry to hear this news. I have a friend [such a dear friend] that is coping with cancer here and it breaks my heart watching her take one step forward and two back. It gives me just a slight [and I do mean slight] inkling of what you must be feeling. I wish I could wrap in a blanket of love and comfort to see you through the coming days and weeks and months ahead of you two.

This is sad to hear Angeline ~ but also shows me such a beautiful side of life (love while you can, and make the best that each day brings). You seem to be a testament to all that is good with life, and while it is such a difficult time, it shows how beautiful you can make life.
