Moving Along

cattleonaltamont[1]

Just follow the path and you’ll be there. But first, you have to realize your path, believe in it, and create it. And that’s what I’m doing. The husband and I are moving. Again. We just moved into the current small apartment one year ago, excited and happy to be here in this part of the San Francisco East Bay. Things change in one year, and for us it has been a monumental change. My husband was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer this June, and that has been a game changer. Remaining in this second floor walk up apartment is no longer feasible, and through doctor’s appointments and chemo we are moving. I never thought it possible to take on a task like this, but the Universe and the saints have been with me, and it’s happening now. I read a quote somewhere that says something like if you take the first step, no matter how hard, the Universe will open  doors and help you continue on, but you have to take that first step.

Coincidence, synchronicity, timing? I don’t know. But everything has fallen into place. We’ve found the perfect one story little house near our kids just a little farther east of San Francisco, and in a more rural area that I love so much. And we’re off. I’ll be back soon from the new place. Until then.

Absolutely. Angeline, you’re brave and you’re open to the Universe and that is all we need. I’ve noticed in my personal life how difficult times and decisions ultimately bring the best gifts life can offer. Keep focused, protect your joy, stay on track! I hope you’ve settled in nicely.

My best to you and yours.

Thank you, Kamal. I appreciate your stopping to comment and sending me your good wishes. I was looking through your blog early this morning, and you have the lessons on the Bhagavad Gita; it amazes me how the thing one needs shows up at the very moment it is needed. These readings will be something I explore.

If there is one thing I do believe in, is that “the Universe will open doors and help you continue on, but you have to take that first step…” not a more important thing to do that this. The positive attitude and knowing the path to achieving the successes you chase will appear when invited in by the universe. It is positive thinking…but it seems all ancient philosophies and religions have a common thread in trusting the universe. Take care Angeline ~

I will be thinking of you and your husband, Angeline, in the next few months. This is a challenging time, but you’ve already made a very wise move (literally and figuratively) to a place that will be healing and beautiful. That is a great first step. It shows you are following your very wise instincts.

So very sorry to hear about this bad news. Still all of us must live a day at a time, and there is always the unexpected… sometimes bad and sometimes good. I do hope for your husband’s complete recovery, and a return to health. I was just reading yesterday of some very unexpected positive indications concerning a very new process of dealing with cancer through genetic treatment.

Oh Angeline. I can’t even like this post. I am so sorry to hear about your husband. As you know I went through the awful dark time with my father and it is so incredibly hard. I feel bad that I didn’t know about it earlier. I noticed you have been quieter than usual and know I understand. How is he doing? I remember how hard it was on my dad. He felt terrible and meditation really helped him through it. He had never done it before but during times of so much stress it helped. He also felt lousy. I know this perhaps isn’t the best place to discuss it all but I wanted to let you know I am thinking of you and your husband. He is fortunate to have such a loving caring wife and I’m glad you are near your children. Take care and I’m thinking of you.
