Weekly Photo Challenge ~ Intricacy Under the Hood

underthehood

I am challenged when it comes to looking under the hood of a car. To me, this is the most intricate of work. I mean, all those tubes and hoses going who knows where.

Very cool…very intricate. Engines fuddle with my mind. I don’t understand them.

  2. I never consider lifting the lid. It reminds me of a certain inadequacy of mine!

  3. To me, the engine is a puzzlement. I loved my 1963 VW Bug that I drove for 30 years before it was stolen. Now, that engine in the back didn’ t intimidate me…….much. Simplify. Simplify. Simplify.

  4. Good take on the challenge. Angeline. I once had a Jaguar E-type V12, and that was one very big and intricate engine, but hubby knew his way around it. šŸ™‚

  5. Older cars are best for this. If you raise the hood of a recently minted car, you can see very little of interest.

Good point, Felipe. I don’t think I’ve looked under the hood of a new car. The older car’s inner workings intrigue me, heaven knows why, and I love to look at all that stuff in there. Hasta luego.

  7. I fondly remember my 1975 VW Super Beetle with the engine in the back. Everything was accessible and easy to fix (not for me, but for someone who knew how.) An off-the-wall choice for the challenge that works.

I learned to drive in a first edition Beetle when I lived in Mexico; I remember those engines in the back (not that I did anything with them). I scratched for this one, and glad that it worked for the challenge. Thanks, Janet.
