My favorite meal while in Cancun. Shrimp fresh out of the sea, and avocado from nearby trees. A little chopped tomato, and cilantro, a squeeze of lime. The freshest of fresh! Buen provecho.

Perfect for the challenge! I haven’t tasted true ceviche since our visit to Peru in 2011.

Time to find it again, Madhu! I’m guessing it is about the same in Peru?

It must be. Sadly there aren’t many places around here that serve Ceviche.

Something to look forward to in the future then.

It is breakfast time for me, but I could start the day eating this ceviche. Your photo was perfectly inviting.

Thanks, Lucile. Good point, had I gotten down to the pool café earlier I could have had this for breakfast too.

Oh my…I haven’t had ceviche in years!! My mouth is watering. And how did you get such a good shot of food…I never can take a good shot of food.

I think the stars were aligned for this shot, badfish. My food photography is a work in progress, but it’s fun to practice since I get to eat what I’ve just photographed. Time to go back to Mexico, eh?

Right…Mexico awaits. I always wanted to study Spanish there for like six months straight. On my To Do list. Do you have a special light system for the food? Or natural lighting?

That was strictly natural lighting, not even flash. Mid-day sun and all. Hope you do get to Mexico for a spell of study and food.

I love natural light, but it seems like food needs more?? Yours does not!! Mine always does. Maybe I need more windows in my kitchen

This photo was shot outdoors in full sun. I’m still working on my inside food photos, those do need special attention to light.

Ah…secrets revealed!!! I would like to have a space in my home to install a little lighting thingy with lights and filters, large enough for small stuff like food and my hermit crab.

This is another one of my favorite salads. I posted the greek salad. I am a vegetarian so salads are on my menu everyday.Love the colors of this one. Great shot !!! AND … I love Cancun. A favaorite vacation spot for us. 🌺

Thanks, Isadora. I also love Greek salads (my lunch tomorrow). I’m not vegetarian, but have a leaning towards it. This was our first trip to Cancun; so different from the other parts of Mexico I’m familiar with. We loved the surrounding areas of Cancun.

Have you been to Cabo San Lucas? We will travel there in April. Anything interesting you might be able to share?

No have never been farther south than Ensenada, and that was years ago. We’ve been debating about Los Cabos. You’ll have to let me know what you think when you get back.
