A weed is a plant that has mastered every survival skill except for learning how to grow in rows. ~Doug Larson
Nature at our feet; easily overlooked, trod upon. Easily found when its beauty is waving at me in the wind.

I love to photo weeds. These are beautiful!

Thanks, Amy! I’ve learned to look both up and down when I’m out taking photos!

A weed is a plant in the wrong place…. that is what I was taught when I did Botany and Ag subjects. This photo does the week justice. They can still be beautiful.

If you saw my B&W post of Feb. 24, you know I love these grasses. They’re just as cool in color, as you showed. I love your choice of quote as well.

I just went over to take a look, and can see you love grasses too. I just got my PC back Saturday after being without for a week…it was messed up with some kind of virus-like thing that my son fixed for me; reading posts on my phone or Nook is just not the same for me. Thanks for stopping in today.

Angeline, I know what you mean about a laptop/PC vs a phone or tablet. I love being able to take photos with my phone and do some other things and my iPad (not used nearly as much now that I have my phone) is great but doesn’t have Wi-fi. However, the laptop is so much easier for posting, responding to emails, etc.! Glad yours is fixed!!

Thanks, LL! We are spoiled rotten here in Northern California with the spring-like weather we’ve had. If we could just kick the drought to the curb that would be perfect. Hope you have some warmth, and green soon.

Angeline, this grass is a whimsical delight, cheering me as the ice melts from our landscape. The delicacy of the hues and the almost abstract quality of the first image is charming and uplifting. Happy Photo Challenge.
