Memories of a lunch on the beach in Playa del Carmen, Mexico.
Such an inviting shot Angeline with a lovely dose of Hollywood nostalgia!
Thanks, Patti. Now that I look at the photo again, it does seem rather like a scene out of Hollywood.
Now I’m going to sit on that beach.
Oh, P. VJ, I highly recommend it. Better than that snowy tree trunk you were sitting on when you played your guitar.
Love this photo for more than one reason. It takes me back to my Mexico days. It even has a “older days” look to it. Where is Playa del Carmen, near PV? Did you ever go to Yelapa?
I’m glad this photo took you back to your Mexico days…that’s a good thing I hope. Playa is about an hour from Cancun. The main drag is really super touristy, but go down any street toward the water and you start finding tranquility…and places like the one I photographed.

Ah! I’ve spent a lot of time in Mexico, used to live in San Diego. Traveled all the way to the bottom of Mexico, into Guatemala. But never, for some reason, got over to the Yucatan. I regret it now because I was in Mexico before Cancun was Cancun…
We stayed at a hotel in Cancun, and that was it. Our days were out in all the surrounding areas for day trips. If I get back there, I would stay in one of the small towns in the area. You were there at a good time, it seems. So much of the area was left to explore…I need to go back!
Love this photo! Makes me wanna go travel somewhere tropical straight away 🙂
Thanks! I wanna go right back there now! Hope you get to that tropical place soon!
OMG I want to be here. Now it’s sleeting in my world! Beautiful A !
Thanks, Kathryn. That was a warm and humid day. I’ll take that any day over sleet 🙂 Hope you warm up soon!
I am buried under my electric blanket as we speak ! 💠
This photo reminds me of the song “happy days are here again…” Very positive 🙂
Those were definitely happy days! Total relax mode. Thanks, Randall. Have a good week.
Love the colous .. Looks very dreamy
Thanks, Julie. It is now but a dream! Lovely, lovely place.
Seeing the coconut trees reminds me of Philippines. It’s nice to be able to get away from it all and just unwind once in a while. 🙂
It looks like it was a very beautiful day when you took the photo. Beautiful!
Thanks, Anna. We thought this was the best little spot in Playa del Carmen.
My pleasure, Angeline. 🙂
