Love this photo for more than one reason. It takes me back to my Mexico days. It even has a “older days” look to it. Where is Playa del Carmen, near PV? Did you ever go to Yelapa?

I’m glad this photo took you back to your Mexico days…that’s a good thing I hope. Playa is about an hour from Cancun. The main drag is really super touristy, but go down any street toward the water and you start finding tranquility…and places like the one I photographed.

Ah! I’ve spent a lot of time in Mexico, used to live in San Diego. Traveled all the way to the bottom of Mexico, into Guatemala. But never, for some reason, got over to the Yucatan. I regret it now because I was in Mexico before Cancun was Cancun…

We stayed at a hotel in Cancun, and that was it. Our days were out in all the surrounding areas for day trips. If I get back there, I would stay in one of the small towns in the area. You were there at a good time, it seems. So much of the area was left to explore…I need to go back!

Seeing the coconut trees reminds me of Philippines. It’s nice to be able to get away from it all and just unwind once in a while. 🙂
