Phoneography Challenge~Macro of Gone But Not Forgotten Flowers

macrobabyagapanthus23

The baby Agapanthus (that’s what I call them) flower pods, once hosting lovely little purple petals. Now gone are the petals, but bringing back memories of summer breezes and color of another nature. I daren’t call it decay, because if this is decay, then I shall not fear getting old(er).

Different angles, offering different light and shadows was fun to accomplish, circling the plant as the earth circles the sun.

I’ve been MIA for a couple of days, caring for a daughter who has had some unexpected surgery, adding to an already complicated recovery. It’s taking a few moments in a day with a camera, be it phone or digital,  that brings some sense of peace. I’ll wander in an out of my blog for a little while, as time permits.

  1. I hope all is well by now. When I was in the hospital last year taking photos with my phone saved my sanity and got me up waling around which they wanted me to do. Good for you for taking care of yourself while you are a care taker. Number 3 is very whimsical and expressive 😀

  7. Prayers for your daughter’s complete and quick recovery and for your peace of mind. Do these pods rustle with that lovely sound of dry things? We were cleaning up the yard yesterday and the iris pods were making that noise. Loved it.
