It’s funny how when I start processing a photo I sometimes end up with not what I originally intended. It’s still a battle sometimes between color and sepia or monochrome. I liked what came out of this one too. Thanks.

Like your choice of post-processing. The use of monochrome gives the image a “summer resort” feel as found in homes by lakes.

Thanks, Aart. The monochrome/vintage edit I used makes it look older than it is. I took this photo a couple of years ago. The cottages are older buildings, though. These strollers aren’t seen too much around here, but I do have one in the trunk of my car for when I have a grandchild with me.

I love this place – it reminds me of somewhere I have been – maybe a vacation house when I was a kid. Myrtle Beach? Somewhere by the sea.

Yes, by the sea is where I saw this; in a little town on Kauai. I loved the tire swing, and just the general look of a laid back life style. So Hawaiian to me.
