So much to like about this photo, Angeline. The subject, the angle, the setting, and light. Everything cooperated to give you a great capture. Well, I guess that eye of yours had something to do with it. 🙂 Well done!
Thanks, Jo. Glad you like it! It was such a fun little while in Chinatown that day. One of those rare ones in San Francisco when it was sunny and fairly warm.
A beautiful image, all being about forms and shapes, lights and shadows. You have made a delightful abstraction of something that otherwise is very tangible.
They are my favorite flower! I had two huge bushes in my garden at our last home. I found this bird in a neighbor’s front yard. I was climbing into the banana plants to get to it. God, the neighbors are going to have me evicted from this neighborhood one day 🙂
Thanks, M. Hope you’re having a good weekend.

Thanks so much, Otto. It is so gratifying to be able to push something a little bit into abstraction’s realm.

Thanks Amy. I’m beginning not to believe that old photography adage about how bad mid day light is for shooting photos.

Aren’t they fabulous flowers? I used to have one in my Sydney garden, a couple of lives ago … Beautifully captured, Angeline 🙂

Thank you! I could hardly see how I had things composed on my phone screen because of the sun’s glare on the screen. I’m glad you like it.
