Continuing travels down the Pacific Coast Highway, through Orange County, we come to Newport Beach, and Fashion Island. An outdoor mall of shops and restaurants across the street from the Pacific Ocean…what could be better than that?
In last week’s post I mentioned that beautiful beaches are an attraction in Orange County, but not all that there is. Here is a case in point, and I’ll focus on the fashion in this post to give you a light and fun little virtual shopping experience.
It was always great to spend a sunny Saturday or Sunday here window shopping, having lunch, and looking up to see that expanse of ocean right across the way.
We’ll keep moving down the coast next week. See you then for more from the Pacific Coast Highway.
Not being much of a shopper, Angeline, this part of your trip I would have skipped. On second thought, maybe not skipped entirely, You could go window shopping and I’d find a seat on the beach. Just come get me when it’s lunch time. 🙂

And the lunches are great here. I should have included a photo of our favorite place, Rustica. I think you would have liked it.

Love this – thinking about Nepenthe of course even though you are headed in the other direction! Love the Pacific Coast!

Thanks, Jo. The PCH is beautiful in both directions. At Nepenthe it is at one of its most majestic points.

Thanks, Amy. This is a retrospective, but we’re headed down there for a visit first part of June. I cannot wait to revisit all of our favorite places.
