Editing and processing, or what you got isn’t necessarily what you get when you’ve taken a photo these days in said world of editing and processing. I’ve done a study of one photo this week for the challenge sponsored by Lens and Pens by Sally, visit her site to see some great work for the challenge and her tip of the week. The photo above is edit #1, and following are other adaptations that are simple, but an example of what just a tweak of editing can do to help a photo you might otherwise leave to languish in your files. An interesting set of photos, Angeline. I, too, like the cropped, tall version, though all are quite good. I need to take some time and “play” with a few photos as you’ve done here. I bet the experience would do me good. 🙂

wow, cool editing! i like that last one… high contrasts photos are my favorite, I think. Yours has a perspective of light that makes it really interesting! Well done 🙂

Thanks, Amber. And, no, I don’t have photoshop in my arsenal. For some reason it scares me and I keep avoiding getting it to use. My big secret, and pretty much the only editing tool I use now is a free site called PicMonkey. For some phone photos I also use snapseed, but on this set for this post I used PicMonkey.

The last one is beautiful, but I also like the idea of cropping it to bring out its tallness… hey… maybe combine the two? I look at my files with a new eye now with all the apps at my disposal. Nice job!

I love the first image! I just gravitate towards it. I think I enjoy the lighting and soft teal hues. Beautiful. This is a great study of editing and processing! Nicely done! 🙂

That narrow, cropped image was almost an afterthought to see how that would change the look. I’m in to cropping these days to change things up a bit without too many other edits. Thanks, Janet.

Angeline, it was a hard choice. But I narrowed it to the last one. It gives the image more contrast and tones, and there are no distractions from the light. I like that you pulled it out of your archives and gave it new life. Happy Photo Challenge.
