A spring day walk down a country road. A patch of cacti. Fields of mustard. Water pumping station sounds flowing hard. My feet make crunching sounds atop dried dirt and leaves. My camera click, click, clicks, and I become aware of a little breeze, birds singing somewhere above my head, pine cones at my feet, a train whistles across the field.

I had actually spotted this area from the road I drive down almost daily. This day I was feeling ambitious, grabbed my camera and walked there.
Thanks…It was a fun hour or so of losing myself here in taking photos.

A wonderful selection of lush greens Angeline! Your cacti patch shot is stunning – the elegance of the cactus in that gorgeous light surrounded by the soft grasses and delicate golden leaves comes together so beautifully.

what does it smell like in the mustard field ?

Like a big hamburger…..hahaha…just kidding. It doesn’t smell at all in the field, not sure if you put your nose right up to it if it has a scent; I’ll have to do that to see.

I am kind of disappointed…I love the smell of mustard and was hoping it would have that.

I really am going to go stick my nose in one of these flowers. I’ll let you know.

Thank you Angeline…can’t wait to hear what they do smell like. You should maybe crush a petal, or a leaf in your fingers…sometimes they smell when you do that.

Thanks, Amy. No, not really a lot, but mustard is very hardy and drought resistant.
