abandoned to dream of the good old days along these roads where I now sit and watch her

Old but still beautiful, I bet the travels and adventures was all worth it.

  2. I love old trucks. Especially appreciate that color.

  3. Madhu says:

Perfect! And that is a brilliant close up!

This was a wonderful, albeit a bit sad, challenge. Great shot of the truck, Angeline, but one cannot help but wonder about its past “life”.

It was a kind of sad challenge. This truck, though abandoned, makes me happy. I’d like to think it traveled up and down these back roads among the farms and fields, hauling produce and goods. It’s a beautiful area.

  5. Yes, you and Rick both are on the same page for this challenge.
I remember that it was a lot of fun to play in old, abandoned cars when I was a kid (it might be fun still, but I must admit that I haven’t tried it lately.) 😀

Nice take on the detail. I always love photographed old things.

  8. Love that peep through the sagging door! 🙂

  9. Rick Diffley says:

Some good captured images here. One suggestion: In the first image, I would either move to a different direction to eliminate the telephone wires in the image or used post processing to get rid of the slightly distraction.

Yes the good old days! I like the spring inside!

    • Angeline M says:

I don’t know why I have a thing for these old trucks. I would really, really like to buy one.

It would be a labor of love! Takes time and big $$$$ , lots of people do it here. I helped my dad rebuild a 1932 Ford Flathead into a record breaking car in 1/4 mile. I was 10 or something but they are strong memories!

  11. dadirri7 says:

an old beauty Angeline, you have captured all the best of her, the graceful curves, pleasing old paint and delicate rusting patches 🙂

  12. Patti Kuche says:

Always sad to see these old beauties faded and rusting . . ..

  13. Jo Bryant says:

just imagine her redone and sparkly…what a beauty she would be

  14. cindy knoke says:

This is the winner I think. Fabulous~

  15. Su Leslie says:

These are gorgeous shots. I especially love the second one; the colours and textures make me think of painting rather than photography.

  16. FireBonnet says:

Really cool capture! Perfect for the prompt.

Nice photos. The driver’s seat is also not so best.
