Phoneography Challenge: Macro (Mindfulness)

kale1

The practice of mindfulness in the most mundane tasks of the everyday opens my eyes, even to the washing of vegetables for a salad. Stalks of kale rinsed and placed in a colander to drain, beads of water amongst the veins and spine of the leaf magnify the beauty that is.

  8. Kale has such strong leaves with the prominent veins and spines. You’ve captured them beautifully with the lovely touch of droplets of water. Happy Phoneography Monday!

As old as I am, I’m embarrassed to say this is the first time I’ve used kale. I’m in love with it visually and to eat too. Delicious in this salad I made. Give it a try.

What a gorgeous post! Such a perfect expression of mindfulness – as you said, staying in the moment, and all of the beautiful gifts around us that simply go unnoticed & unappreciated. I will stay more mindful today because of this beautiful post – thank you!
