A trip is always the culmination of so many wonderful possibilities as to where your adventure will lead you; then there is that serendipity of seeing even more possibilities once you’ve reached what you thought was your destination. My planned trips always seem to explode into great possibilities once I’ve thought I’ve arrived. Ralph Waldo Emerson knew of what he spoke when he said “life is a journey, not a destination”.
Thanks to Ailsa’s Where’s my backpack for today’s travel theme.

I can’t wait to get back there. I love Haleiwa and the beaches on the North Shore. Oahu is our favorite island.

The signpost is a terrific idea for the challenge, Angeline. I always look out for those sorts of posts, their enticing possibilities sometimes becoming me like a siren. I particularly remember in Anuradhapura, once, seeing the sign to Jaffna – though I didn’t physically turn right that day, it prompted a nightmarish daydream which I’ll never forget! 🙂

Thanks, M. You’ll have to share that daydream some day…you zigged when you should have zagged to the right?
