I’ve spent a whirlwind weekend back in my hometown of San Antonio, Texas, going back to visit girlfriends I grew up with. Part of our reuniting included a return to the grade school we all attended, Ursuline Academy. The chapel of the school, built in 1867, is lovely.
We were more than blessed to study in these surroundings, maybe not understood by us at the time, but none the less…
It was a pretty wonderful weekend.
It sounds like you had a memorable visit. Funny how time and distance can help us to fully appreciate things in our past. That chapel is really special. I’m glad you had such a wonderful time

Thanks, John. It was a great visit, and so true that time makes all things seem better than when in the middle of it all.

Gorgeous light, Angeline – though I hate to think of one of the sisters down on her knees polishing that mirror floor! I’m sure you had a wonderful time catching up with friends – especially your best friend, what a joy that must have been 🙂

The friend I’ve always been closest with has said that the two day’s time expanded, as it does when one has a meaningful experience, and so it was. Thank you for the kind words on my shot of the chapel. It is indeed stunning.

Thank you, Amy. I’ve got a few more photos coming. It was such a delicious two days, such a very short amount of time, but worth the trip to be with old friends for a little while. Definitely going back, we hope for Fiesta week, and if you’re in town then, I would love to meet up with you.
