Taking a nature walk through the tide pools of the San Francisco Aquarium by the Bay. Another side of nature that, in this environment, seems to rest and be at peace.
Have a visit with Lens and Pens by Sally for more interesting views of nature.

Very nice picture. I can almost smell the salt and kelp from the tides going in and out.

Thanks, Otto. Tide pools are captivating; and the aquarium would be one step up if they provided some of the smells from the Bay right outside.

I like the way the foreground creatures are round and full while at the top, they’re all somewhat flat. Makes for good contrast.

That’s a good observation, Janet. And it is a nice contrast; Mother Nature arranges things very nicely.

I’ve only had the opportunity to see tidal pools once. Such fascinating places! Your photo captured that feeling for me. Thank you.

We used to explore tide pools on the beaches here when the kids were little, and it was always fascinating. This aquarium is superb in its exhibits.

That phone of yours continues to amaze! And that you’ve managed to get all those wavy arms in focus is a miracle, in my book. I rarely get peppercorns in focus, let along wavy arms! 🙂

The sea anemones were doing a dance in sync just for me, so I could get a good focus on them 🙂
