Being off the grid for six days, was a good thing. Well, I sort of cheated, I had my cell phone and kind of looked around at stuff every now and again. I sent a few photos to my Flickr stream, and a couple to Twitter, but I didn’t have my laptop, but I had my Nook. I’m so weak.
At any rate, sitting in the Las Vegas airport with a lot of time on my hands before our flight home, my husband suggested photos of the people on the moving walkway we were sitting in front of. It gave me time to practice pointing my phone without appearing to be taking photos of those passing by
Joe Cool arrives in Vegas, baby
I had a good time watching people walking, and not walking on the moving walkway
McCarren Airport is huge, love the candid shots. Some of the best photos of people I’ve ever gotten is in doing the same thing. Spent my teenage years living in Las Vegas, it’s quite the city.

Airports are wonderful for people watching; have to wonder at the stories going by. Las Vegas must be quite the place for teen years. For any years, really.

Be aware of people with cell phones, you never know what they are up to 😉 :D. I’m not into phoneography, but sometimes I am really tempted to take photos of strangers which my hubby does not approve of :D. It does feel great being off grid even for a few days 🙂

Really! Those cell phones do all kind of wicked things 🙂
Getting away from laptop, etc is really necessary every now and again!

It’s a great exercise in a small microcosm of life, and pointing the phone very subtly. I was holding it in my lap pointed at the right angle to capture the people going by 🙂

The airport is a great place to see many interesting people. Always moving, waiting, walking and even running.

I tried to catch some runners, but when I looked at my screen, all I had was the walkway and no people 🙂 They were long gone.

Fun to try to figure out what they do, where they are coming from, going to.
