Art…in the vineyard. Wente Vineyard to be exact, in Livermore, California; home of some wonderful art in the making of wines. Once a year they host an event for artists to display their art work for people to peruse as they stroll about the grounds sipping some of the local wines and listening to music.
I was pretty sure I wasn’t going to be able to start over at A again, but how can one resist Frizztext, and his weekly alphabet. I may not be as consistent as the last round, but here I am to help Frizz and all of his contributors kick off another set. This week we’re talking Art and artists, an extremely good flow of comments, so click on the link and join in, or at least enjoy the repartee.
The creation of something new is not accomplished by the intellect but by the play instinct acting from inner necessity. The creative mind plays with the objects it loves. ~Carl Jung
And one more quote from George Bernard Shaw that I really like: “You use a glass mirror to see your face, you use works of art to see your soul.”

nice work!

This is lovely – we visited Napa Valley when we were in California a few years back. Gorgeous capture of that wineglass. My A contribution is also all about the arts – great coincidence!

Thanks, Myra. The Livermore Valley is much like Napa, only on a smaller scale. If you ever see any wines from Livermore, you can pretty much feel safe in buying them; they’re all pretty good wines. I’ll be over to visit your post soon.

Ah, art and good wine….can’t beat that combo 🙂 Beautiful shot Angeline. I am tempted to participate too, but I know I will not be able to keep up.

Thanks, Madhu. I did the whole A to Z last time, and this set may not be quite as consistent…depends on what I have handy that goes with the letter of the week 🙂

A cool way of shooting art and putting it in context of the subject matter. Very nice.
