A Room With So Many Views; The Final Focus

The rain came and went throughout the day, as did the change in scenery unfolding in front of my hotel room window.

The clouds rolled over the mountain and pulled back again

Gently, and then roaring back down like an avalanche

Streaming up and over and down through the trees

I could almost hear that silence, that silence mixed with the wind as it blew through the trees. I imagined myself standing out there alone, exhilarated by the cold, and this fury of air and clouds and rain.

The storm was spent, the clouds encircling the mountaintop to make amends

The clouds exalting in their glory

‘Majestic’ is the first word that came to my mind when i saw that first picture. What a view. Thanks for letting us peek over your shoulder, Angeline. 🙂

  3. Love these – very atmospheric. I remember a huge storm a few years ago in Turkey and the sky turned yellow, was pretty amazing!

  4. Each one conjures mystery and even foreboding. They remind me of the Hudson Valley School of Painting, which is a very good thing.
