The Sunday Bulletin; About Friday Night’s Sunset

A week filled with frustration melts away

A sunset lights up the sky

Lacy leafless branches frame the photo

Coming downstairs from my home office, after a day of work craziness on Friday, I saw the sunset. I wanted to run down to the end of the road, where the open fields meet the western hills to see this sky full of glory, but knew the light would change by the time I got there. I went out into the back yard and pointed my camera upward.

There was no processing done on this photo.

  3. Beauty’s gotta be the best antidote for a stressful day. Love the idea of you running down toward the fields, trying to catch the light 🙂

I’m glad the daylight hours are a little longer now; I plan to go out for a brief walk after work now as my de-stress time. I laughed at myself when those words of me running down to the fields appeared on my screen (sometimes the words just seem to come from I know not where)….I think I forgot how old I am and not a little girl in pigtails 🙂

Here you have your moment of “hope” Angeline…Just waiting for you…
As Epicurus said “Do not spoil what you have by desiring what you have not; remember that what you have was once among the things you only hoped for”
Hope next week will be better!

It was just waiting for me! I couldn’t believe it when I looked out the door. And thanks, a good reminder to take what’s there right where you are. There were lessons here for me! Thanks!

Jeanne, thanks for this comment! It was a wonderful reminder that there is beauty in the world that supercedes the daily frustrations; we have to open our eyes and heart to accept them.
I can’t wait to see your Thursday evening moment!

you caught a moment when nature needs no correction ( it NEVER does, it is just our whim that tries to correct it…)
