It’s been less than two months since we’ve been back. What is it about the ocean? About water, that is so soothing. For both body and soul. I want to fly back there now, and sink into the warm arms of the sea.
Cee has a challenge working on the 5 Chinese elements, water being the second one. You can see the details here.
This dreamy shot conveys your longing for the ocean perfectly!

Thanks Anne. There’s nothing like swimming around in the ocean.

I think I would shrivel without the ocean nearby Angeline

I know that’s why I keep going back to places by the ocean, be it San Francisco, Hawaii, or the coasts of Mexico. San Francisco, at 60 miles away from where I live, is just a tad too far for my liking.

I can definitely relate to that! We had to split our vacation in 2 to please everyone, but I must say that our week on the beach, in the ocean, remains forever my favorite!
Your picture is super cool! Cheers to our next time in the water!

Salud! We will be heading that way in fall! I need to go back and re-read your posts on your vacation. We’re thinking Cancun area.

The Caribean side of Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico is one of the most beautiful ever! But, don’t stick to Cancun as it is much too touristy and not so great. Cozumel is a diving paradise if you do dive; south of Playa del Carmen (another one way too touristy) is Tulum, with ruins overlooking the ocean (see my last post) but most importantly is Akumal, where your friends have a place if I remember well, and where turtles will tickle your imagination!

Thanks Juls! I appreciate the info since this is a new area for us. I chafe at touristy. Our friend is promoting Akumal.

Glad I can be of any help; all my posts in December (specially the ones with my mother) are about stuff to do in yucatan peninsula. Hopefully, you’ll find there and in other blogs or guides, great stuff to do and visit while you’re there.
Enjoy!

You know what I think about these ‘effects’, but I quite like the way you’ve turned your nostalgia and longing for the seaside into a dreamlike photograph 🙂

You know, that’s the thing about effects and everyone using them. When the real picture presents itself, everyoone thinks it was altered. This is an iPhone photo, straight out of camera. No alterations at all! It was shot late in the afternoon, not quite into the sun, but therabouts. I think if the passion for the subject is there, the dream transfers onto the scene photographed.

Really! Well, it’s certainly come across in that shot Angeline. ( I’m still so surprised by your iPhone’s resolution!) 🙂
