I went to a mall today and watched the children.
At the restaurant we were in I watched a little girl spin in the door in front of her parents. I love little girls that spin. She will be a ballerina I thought.
In the Lego store little kids sat at a little round table just their size, playing together with little computers set up for games and Lego building. They will be architects and engineers I thought.
The line for Santa was long, long, long with little kids waiting their turn. They will be visionaries I thought.
I came home and put together the gallery of photos of the kids I took on the beaches and around the pools on Oahu a few weeks ago. They will be the jet set I thought 🙂
And as my thoughts rambled around in my mind today, I wondered if there is a Celebrate The Kid Day. And if not, why not.
Why not post some photos of kids having fun. Let’s remember the kids now gone, by celebrating how kids just want to have fun; how they would want their friends to go out and play.
Children make such nice photographic subjects and so precious. This is a very nice entry. Merry Christmas Angeline.

Thanks Joseph. I love to photograph children as they go about their business, without their really knowing I’m taking a photo. I’m glad you like the entry; nice to see you back.
Merry Christmas to you too Joseph.

And such tragic times. Really hard to digest this horror. I think we just have to remember the good.

You’ve captured the innocence and the absolute freedom, Angeline. Me, I’m a bit more somber, but not too much, I hope … http://thewanderlustgene.wordpress.com/2012/12/16/the-serious-business-of-play/

Not too much at all. We all need to let our inner child out to play every now and again 🙂

You are right Angeline to celebrate kids, and I share your thoughts with all my heart, but a post I cannot do. I believe it is risky these days to put pictures of children on the net. Too many predators are trawling for leads of that type. It is a good thing that these picture are anonymous and probably cannot be traced at all. Angeline: no offense to you is meant ! 🙂
I just do not trust the world, I guess. 😦

Hi Vera, I can understand your wariness, and I agree that any photos posted can be anonymous, as in the selected photos in my gallery, that are random shots at random places. Our world has become scary, and the utmost caution is important and necessary. I take no offense, and always appreciate dialogue and different viewpoints here on my site.
