Photos taken at High-Hand Nursery in Loomis, California, that is on the site of a 100-year-old fruit packing plant. The gardens are beyond beautiful, with trees, flowers, and plants. I will introduce the water features tomorrow, to be followed by a visit inside the huge warehouse that was the packing plant, now filled with shops and more plant displays. It couldn’t have been a better weekend with sun and temperatures in the high 70’s.

Wonderful! It’s moving into winter here, the leaves are mostly one the ground and turning dark, so it’s nice to see more autumn photos 🙂

Thanks, Aine. With all the WordPress bloggers across the globe, this is a good way to extend a season 🙂 Our rains are supposed to start later this week, so I’m sure glad I got these photos prior to that.

Very true, I love seeing all the photographs from around the world. Our rain is pretty much constant so I guess that’s one of the reasons why our golden-leaves-phase is so short-lived! This year was a particularly beautiful year, though.

Thanks, Madhu. I, also, don’t think I’ve ever seen anything quite so gorgeous (here in the local area, anyway).

You said the colour you saw on your weekend away was intense – it’s almost psychedelic! Fantastic Angeline 🙂

Thanks, M. This arboretum/garden center was a feast for the senses. Besides all the beauty for the eyes, there was classical style music piped throughout the gardens; what an inspiration for photography! The colors in the photos needed no manipulation…nature did that for me here.

I’d have been astounded (and disappointed) if you’d had to beef up the colour! Sounds like a great place Angeline 🙂

Thank you, Shimon. The time spent here was a very relaxing time spent with a friend I hadn’t seen in awhile. I think the second photo is my favorite as well.
