Weekly Photo Challenge: Foreign; Day 334

I realize this is not foreign for those living in Russia; I’ve never been there, so this beautiful little babushka doll is something special for me, coming from a part of the world I will most probably never see. This was a difficult post; foreign is so subjective.

I used my iPhone 4s to capture these photos this evening.

Nice response. Matryoshka dolls are very pretty and delicately made.

I’ve been too crazy-busy to blog, Angeline, but I’ve been accessing yours periodically, and I’m enjoying you almost being at day 365. You’re soooo close now! How does it feel?

Hey there! Thanks for stopping in every now and again. I cannot believe it’s almost there. Feels great to have had the discipline to keep it going day by day. Some days I’ve wanted to not even get near my computer to put the post up, but I have continual excitement each day to find my subject matter, camera in hand. It has been a wonderful learning and refining process.

  5. That is one beautiful doll. It’s always enriching to discover the many toys and things from another country. I believe that each culture has a treasure to offer. Have a blessed day.

I like your point that foreign is subjective. I found this one difficult to work around
