Here we have similar flowers called Cosmos. They grow wild? Always make a beautiful show .

I think that’s what these are. I keep meaning to buy some for my garden pots, and have never gotten them; I always end up with other plants. Next summer! They are supposed to tolerate heat well.

Very pretty š The bit of white makes it more interesting.

Thank you! Yes, I like the white mixed in too.

Lovely colours in this tight close-up. The use of a telephoto lens compresses the perspective and brings so many more flowers within the frame. Very nicely done.

Thanks Otto. The experimentation with my new Canon continues.

Beautiful picture. I remember visiting Walnut creek when I was in America, many years ago. I had a dear friend who was living in Berkeley, and we went for a little walk there.

Thank you Shimon. Walnut Creek has grown and evolved over the years. We’ve lived in this area for some 35 years now. They have made a beautiful downtown area that is tree-lined streets and several long blocks on Broadway with shops and restaurants. The streets and a central fountain area have planters all around with beautiful flowers. Quite lovely setting for a Saturday lunch and stroll afterwards. We’ll be in Berkeley in a couple of weeks for our anniversary weekend; I’m sure I’ll have a few photos to share š

Thank you. The sun was brilliant at a little after 1:00 this afternoon; I was pleased the color didn’t get washed out from the brightness. This one is unprocessed!
