Project 365, Day 265; Alameda’s Crown Memorial State Beach

Crown Memorial State Beach is operated by the California Park District and the City of Alameda. It is on the San Francisco Bay, and just across the bay from San Francisco.

We went in to Alameda today to return the granddog that we had been dog sitting for the last week. Said dog  lives with her parents in an apartment across the street from the beach.

This is the beginning of the best time of year to be in San Francisco, and around the bay; usually, September and October are superb, with sunshine and warmer weather.

  4. Yes, autumn is nice. They say that today is the last day of summer around here, but this summer has been really bad: rain, rain, rain all the time – more than in the last 80 years or something they said. Anyway, it doesn’t matter because autumn is coming and the autumn is beautiful with all its colors, the fresh air and the taste of darkness.

Plus: Two weeks vacation, starting from today!!! See ya!
