I met Paul “Bullfinch” outside the courthouse yesterday. I was sitting on the ledge down a ways from where he came to sit. I saw him walk up with his shopping cart full of what are, I’m pretty sure, all of his earthly belongings. He took out his guitar from its case and asked if I minded if he sat near me to play. We struck up a little conversation, and I asked him if he minded if I took a couple of photos of him as he played. The instant happiness and excitement on his face was heart warming. He asked if I wanted him to pose, or just “act natural”, and I assured him I wanted photos as he played, unposed.
Street life is tough, but made just a little softer with music and friendship.
thank you Angeline – for noticing the world of GUITARS …

A guitar can be such good company. It can seem like a human voice. Good for him that he plays guitar.

It was a sort of synchronicity that I should meet him right after the first G post. Thanks for stopping by Shimon.

Indeed it is. I think to meet the characters along the way requires a little reaching out, I’ve rarely been disappointed when I do. Thanks David.
