Project 365, Day 252; Window Views in Oakland

Oakland, across the bay from San Francisco, is no longer seen as the ugly step-sister. It’s becoming revitalized, and has so many new and wonderful restaurants, and some nice looking Victorians. I took these photos from our hotel room that is in the midst of the downtown area.

The architecture here is so much like that found in San Francisco. I don’t know if these are old buildings that have been restored, or if they are new.

I need to go back and do a little more research. I didn’t have the time during this visit.

  5. They’re fabulous old building Angeline – you can be sure they’re old – look at the detail – we haven’t been able to do external detail like that for my lifetime! ๐Ÿ™‚ Were you there for work? What a shame you didn’t have time to wander – looks lovely.
