Angels we have heard on high
Sweetly singing o’er the plains
And the mountains in reply
Echoing their joyous strains
The words of the song are based on a traditional French carol known as Les Anges dans nos campagnes (literally, “Angels in our countryside”) composed by an unknown author in Languedoc, France. That song has received many adjustments or alignments including its most common English version that was translated in 1862 by James Chadwick. ~ from Wikipedia
I don’t know why this song started going through my head when I uploaded the photo onto the post. Christmas in June? The words are just so right given the country setting around me, the plains and the mountains…. “Angels in our countryside”.
The photo is of another pot of Angel Wing Begonia in my back patio. They remind me of the simple beauty of nature. Of the angels all around me.
I took the photo at close range with my iPhone 4s Camera+, using the clarity filter.
