Fish Tacos

Feast – Day 11 of 30 Days of Indie Travel Project

For some of us, food isn’t just a part of our travels, it’s the reason why we
travel. Whether you travel the globe to try new foods and use food to form or a
deeper connection with the culture or just eat to live, food plays a big part in
the travel experience. Share a food-related story from your travels or describe
your best meal.

Our trip to Puerto Vallarta was excellent all around. I didn’t necessarily go there to eat, but as long as I was there, why not try a taco or two.

I was hooked almost immediately with some shrimp tacos on the beach in Sayulita. Extremely simply prepared, sautéed with onion and fresh tomatoes, in a warm hand-made corn tortilla. I have never tasted anything so delicious.

We went to Sayulita just twice during our stay in Puerto Vallarta, and I am happy to report that we found fish tacos in PV that were equally as wonderful.

We were strolling along the malecon (boardwalk) around noon one day and began checking out the restaurants.

Our table was waiting for us

As were the fish tacos
