I feel like I hit the jackpot! Two envelopes in the mail with a return address from The U.S. Department of State. My renewed passport has arrived; my old one returned.
I think they return the old one so you can see how much you’ve aged changed in ten years. It’s cruel, really. God, I wonder how many more times I will renew my passport. I don’t even want to think of those pictures.
Let’s move on, shall we? I don’t have any international trips planned just now; actually we go to Hawaii right after Thanksgiving (maybe I’ll show my passport to the TSA person). I always want to be prepared. Always ready to jump on a plane and take off to somewhere in the world.
Like the leaflet inserted with the new passport says, “With Your U.S. Passport, the World is Yours!”
enjoy!

I have a world map on my office wall…thinking of throwing a dart and see where it lands! Seriously, maybe Spain, or back to Italy. Then there’s always Cabo Verde!

“With Your U.S. Passport, the World is Yours!” So true. We do need a passport to follow our dreams of exploring the world. This reminds me to renew mine as well. It’s about 8 years old. Yep, I too looked different . Reminds me to start exercising and eating right but I can’t give up my favorite chips yet. I wish you and your family days filled with excitement and adventure. yes, the world truly awaits for you….

I love travel 🙂 The passport is valid for ten years, so you still have a little while to go. Mine only took 20 days for processing, way faster than I thought.
