Circus Vargas Comes To Town

I wrote a prelude to the circus several days ago; we went to see the show this last Saturday with our grandson and some of our grown “children”.

There is something about a circus that turns an adult all goofy and giddy and takes you reeling back to years ago.

Circus Vargas exceeded expectations. I cannot say enough positive things about this show. We all had a fabulous time, and I think I enjoyed the show as much as watching our eight year old grandson’s face as he watched the show.

When I read the Circus Vargas website information and realized there were no animals I was a little disappointed, but this was soon dispelled within the first five minutes of the show. There was a lot of audience participation with the adults and the kids that made the show so much fun.

The one clown in the show was the glue that kept the show together.  This clown, with his silver whistle, directed everything as an orchestra conductor would. Incredibly funny and spot on timing.

There were parts of the show that reminded me of Cirque du Soleil and other parts that were just plain circus acts. Innovation with a group from Argentina that played drums and there were also artists of the trapeze and high wire.

What’s a circus without popcorn, sno kones, cotton candy, and hot dogs?

It was a great show for children of all ages.

Thanks. Our grandson was a little intimidated about going up when they asked for volunteers from the audience.

  2. Those pictures are amazing. We went to the circus last year. My son loved it except his scared of clowns. Hmmm? Great fun post
