While in Hawaii recently, on Oahu, we had breakfast one morning at the Moana Surfrider Hotel, one of our favorite places. I strolled around the hotel after eating and took a few photos, one being fun to look at and comparing the old fashioned bathing suit to the teeny bikinis one sees on the Waikiki beach these days.

Very good photo of a photo – nicely cropped and no glass glare. I love old black and white photos too!

Thanks! I take almost all of my photos with my Droid cell phone. I put it to the highest resolution possible and it works pretty darn good.

That’s a great picture… Is it you? Imagine how much clothing women wore to go swimming back in the day… compared to now. WoW! 🙂

I think I would prefer the all-in-one than a bikini. What about the real old days when they swam in dresses and got changed in a caravan near to the beach. Have you sen any of those pictures?

Hi, I’ve seen pictures of the caravan or tents near the beach for changing. I cannot imagine how heavy it must have felt to swim in a dress. Yes, the one piece suit fits my fancy as well.

I am in love with the mermaid at the top of your blog. I wonder if I could copy that and make a poster of it for my bedroom wall. My bedroom theme is ocean.

Yes, thank you for checking with me. It is a photo I took in Puerto Vallarta at the Marriott where we stayed. I fell in love with her too. I have a fascination with mermaids…..which gives me an idea for a new post!
Thanks, and nice to “meet” you.
