Orange County, South Coast Plaza

Our first full day in OC dawned with brilliant sunshine that was such a wonderful greeting to the start of our little vacation. The view from our hotel room was tranquil and invited us out to start the day.

Breakfast was enjoyed and then I was off to visit with my boss, and meet some coworkers I’ve never seen (I telecommute). It was great to finally put faces to the familiar voices I talk to almost every day.

My boss and a former coworker and friend joined me for lunch at South Coast Plaza’s ZTejas.

South Coast Plaza is incredible. Three levels, over 250 upscale, luxury retailers, spread out over 2.8 million square feet. If you ever visit Orange County do not miss this shopping destination. Between the shops and restaurants, you could spend days here…very happy days.

My husband and I had dined here the previous evening at Charlie Palmer at Bloomingdale’s. A beautiful restaurant full of Orange County’s beautiful people. It was hard to remember that there is any kind of recession going on.

From here I will turn the post over to my camera to give you just a small glimpse of the shopping fun you can have here…even if it’s only window shopping.
