Sway With Me

A beautiful clear and sunny day in NorCal today. I released myself from the home office to spend lunchtime at the grocery store. It’s not going to the store that was so good, it was just getting out in to the sunshine after such a never-ending rainy winter.

The winds were crazy wild too. We seem to live in some kind of wind tunnel and a day without wind is somewhat of a wonder. It will stop you in your tracks trying to figure out what’s wrong, and then you realize the wind isn’t blowing.

Purchases completed, I loaded the groceries into the car and headed home. We live down a country road that heads off in to the hills; you would never know there was a little community that is nestled off the road. Fields all around, and off to the west are hills that hide the San Francisco Bay from us. To the northeast is the San Joaquin Delta and the maker of the famous, or maybe infamous, Delta “breeze”. That’s what they call it, The Delta Breeze, sounds so sweet….it’s a damn wind, that’s what it is!

But I digress, the sun was shining, the wind was blowing, the fields and hills are green and the radio was playing “Sway” by Michael Buble

When marimba rhythms start to play
Dance with me, make me sway
Like a lazy ocean hugs the shore
Hold me close, sway me more

Like a flower bending in the breeze
Bend with me, sway with ease
When we dance you have a way with me
Stay with me, sway with me

I danced all the way home with Michael and got to thinking that the wind can really be a beautiful thing.
