Our Hawaii trip has come and gone, we returned right before Thanksgiving. Getting caught up in the holidays, and unbelievable work changes has kept me away from writing much.
Tomorrow brings a day trip to Napa and a visit to a new found friend, Luis Ochoa, made on Facebook who owns Luis Ochoa Family Vineyards. We have been invited to join a small group for a tour of the vineyard and a tasting of the wines produced there.
I haven’t been to Napa in some time, having moved away from the Bay Area and returning only recently. This time of year in the vineyards will display bare vines trimmed back to an austere level, but I know what is hiding under that austerity and see the beauty that is there now and that to come.
