A week filled with frustration melts away
A sunset lights up the sky

Coming downstairs from my home office, after a day of work craziness on Friday, I saw the sunset. I wanted to run down to the end of the road, where the open fields meet the western hills to see this sky full of glory, but knew the light would change by the time I got there. I went out into the back yard and pointed my camera upward.
There was no processing done on this photo.

I’m glad the daylight hours are a little longer now; I plan to go out for a brief walk after work now as my de-stress time. I laughed at myself when those words of me running down to the fields appeared on my screen (sometimes the words just seem to come from I know not where)….I think I forgot how old I am and not a little girl in pigtails
Little girl in pigtails or granny in her walking frame – the emotion’s the same, and if I know you, you’d hobble down in that frame, just to be in the moment
Whoa….let’s not get carried away with the walking frame…..granny, yes, can’t deny that one
Silly! Was thinking of when we get really old, like Papa in his late 90s – still felt like a kid sometimes and you could see the glee with which he creaked to do whatever it was that impulse drove him to!!!
