Lovely composition. I would like to think they are awaiting restoration.
Thanks so much. They were awaiting sale. I found these at a antique faire/flea market; this vendor had boxes full of old keys, thimbles, etc. I have to wonder where he finds all of them. Next trip there, I will take photos of the other things and ask him.
I love that you took a shot like this…you are so creative Angeline
Thank you Jo…..I’m always looking!
beautiful and yet a bit sad!
Thanks James. The old and chipped pieces do impart a sense of sadness. I wonder who wore the watches these came from
Thats exactly what I thought, the lives they led before they got there
This would be a wonderful story to write, with San Francisco or Oakland as a backdrop (Alameda is right across the Bay).
Theres a challenge for your 2013!
Really BIG challenge. My writing sucks!
I bet it isn’t! Give it a go and post it and we all can be the judge hehe
It’s in the pile of things to contemplate
I know the feeling!

saw those handless clocks in Paris …

ETERNITY …
Wow, that is a deep thought!
Oh, wow! Those are beautiful!
That woulda been awesome for the circle travel theme. ;o)
I thought of that, but don’t consider Alameda as travel since it’s nearby. Guess I have to figure out the parameters of “travel”.
That actually never occurred to me. Don’t tell Aisla! ;o)
That’s my uptight Catholc schooling that kicks in. I’ve been fighting it for years
I’ll never tell Ailsa…maybe.
*Sigh*
What’s it gonna cost me?
I was just thinking about that. I haven’t quite decided yet.
Don’t think too hard. Shouldn’t you be working? ;o)
Yes. So I handed your case over to the tribunal. We meet tonight to go over all such cases. But don’t worry. They operate on a three strikes basis. You only have one.
Way to pass the buck. . .
Hey, how come I already have the strike before the tribunal meets?. . . eh, no matter, I know how to fix such things. . .
The first strike is merely symbolic. No worries. I think.
No fair for you to be one of the judges; I was gonna call you as my character witness. . .
That would have been a good choice; I am a character.
Time is timeless. Oh no!
Not if you have a Timex watch
This is quite a picture!
Thank you Shimon. Such a simple display, but beautiful in my eyes.
Somewhere, wheels are turning in the mind of a creative crafter.
This lovely shot is perfectly timed (ehehe) for the new year, Angeline.
hehe for sure dear tita buds! Good to see you around. I have thought that I should have bought the lot of them for some craft project….only I don’t do craft projects…never have the time
Thanks!
That’s an intriguing collection and brilliant subject matter for the photographer. I have looked at this photo for a while now. It is interesting and very nicely exposed..
Thank you so much Joseph. The display really captured my attention; and I’ve wondered why someone would saved all these watch faces. The only post processing I did was to dim the brightness a little bit.
What a lovely little vignette
Thanks M. It caught my eye as I walked past the display.
